Love prism

Twisted, tainted and corrupt
Who ever wanted to end on this note?
A heart faded into the night sky,
Waves washed over the passion.
Pressing against the veins which
Once pumped out unconditional love.

Hard feelings became hard to keep,
Maybe the broken will understand
Or decide to play another hand.
Forget being stabbed and dabbed with
Cheap ingredients.

Sorry won’t satisfy sorrow
And last night’s love won’t ease tomorrow.
Regretting rash decisions
Quick intentions,
And slow incisions.
A love circle turned prism
Turned prison;
On quiet nights like this you can hear the waves cry out if you listen.
