A memory in the ashes

We just seem to exist
Write, read, recite this
Feel little, expect much
Experience only the convenient
Confide in the safe beaches
Where sand is soft and waves rarely rush.

Closed eyes to tomorrow’s future
Yesterday’s past burried in today’s ashes.
Somehow we’ve lost meaning;
Thoughtless sleep patterns
Only leave a trace of daydreaming.

Eat, breath, sleep, and die
Hide in shades, that shade
Blind eyes from his light.
So we bump into feelings
In the dark,
Numb to consequences.
